Dear Students:
Welcome to school today and welcome to the first day of Aumtum! We will try to visualize what this means, that we have just changed from Summer to Fall.
In fact, we will talk a lot about "visualization" this week; we will exercise our minds and our feelings in visualizing how we want our school-work, our classroom, our school, to be. We will talk about visualizing through History, Science, and fantasy.
It's going to be a great week! Do your part, your responsibility to making it a week of "Excellence for all!"

Dear Students:
We're going to start a story today that has to do with an event 81 years ago. This will lead us to examine and explore aspects of what technology existed then, and what people had then for communication and entertainment, and what people understood about the world and even our Solar System back then.
Whoa! That's a lot of knowledge we're going to get into!
And, lots more in our sharing, practice, and learning too!

Dear Students:
When I was young in Elementary School, I loved learning. When my Teacher taught us something new, I loved to do it or talk about it at home, that new skill or idea or concept. I loved to practice it, play around with it, and do it again and again many times, because I was excited that something "new" was NOW my own!
I loved to show things or tell things learned at school with my mother or father, teach it to my little brother, or even show it to or tell my older brothers or sisters if I could get their attention.
It is my hope that you too, feel this way about your learning, and take opportunities to do this each afternoon, evening, and weekend as I did.

School is a special place. School is a place of stories, of complicated Mathematics, a place of exploring History, a chance to experiment in Science.
Our Classroom 16 is a special place because we strive for excellence, and we know the importance of school, and that "The Joy of Learning" demands maturity and hard work.
We can experience great knowledge and great joy when we each do what is right.
